North Sarasota along the Bay

As you shop for your next home in Beautiful Sarasota, you'll see that ALL Values are represented in our Dynamic Market. You'll be amazed at what is available along the Bay!

North Sarasota is truly the Crown Jewel in the Tiara of the County! From the Historic Central Cocoanut & Rosemary Districts, Sapphire Shores, and Indian Beach up to the grand campuses of the Ringling College of Art & Design, World-Famous John & Mable Ringling Museum, the Asolo Repertory Theatre, University of South Florida-Sarasota and New College, Sarasota ROCKS Art, Architecture and Culture like no other destination in the state. Even the Airport SRQ is becoming a destination for many!

Sarasota and Manatee Counties were originally one district until 1921 when the citizens of Sara-Sota chose to become a separate County. (Sara was the daughter of Spanish Explorer, Hernando DeSoto!) Many of the wealthier Residents and Visitors gravitated south to the protection of Sarasota Bay creating a long term commitment to the area by developing the Bay Front to its highest and best utility. Today, we see the ultra high-end real estate selling deep into 8 figures from the County Line at New College/USF Campuses, through the Museum and southward.

In the 'Off Water' Neighborhoods on the East side of Tamiami Trail, properties are being restored and redeveloped to create and enhance the Flavor of Sarasota. The Historic Central Cocoanut and Rosemary Districts are undergoing a dramatic transformation: 1920s and 1930s era Cottages are being restored with enviable features like 9' plus ceilings, original hardwood floors, two or three stories and typically larger lots. The founding Newtown area holds large 4-5 bedroom homes originally built to house large families who worked for the wealthy. These homes are now desirable as Extreme Remodel Specials because of their "Good Bones" construction.
