Now there are many groups and organizations that have grown with the industry to nurture and invent new pathways in light of the especially rigorous demands of the Baby Boomers. Sports Tourism is BIG Business as evidenced by the 110 support and sponsoring orgs in place across the country Their combined contribution in Visitor Spending for 2014 is nearly $9 Billion! The Sarasota County Sports Commission sponsored 112 events in Fiscal Year 2015 equating to $144M in economic impact and $101K room nights, a substantial increase of the previous year.
